Straight No Chaser

2022; my mother died- and while it was a blessing at that point,
for anyone it's still a surreal time. I took a few days &
went to the Dungeness Spit- at the very North coastline of Washington
State. And I turned my phone off. This piece grew out of trhat
experience- looking almost due West. The distant land just visible
on the right is Vancouver Island. 
This
was essentially the last painting from my 50s. Proud of this
one.

in the North Studio. Though I never met him, I have Angela's
Dad's brush from his shop. And with all the scraping that happens
when I am working, I often have to brush off a canvas surface.
