Stanton acquired the machine from Hawaiian Pierre Andrade who previously owned it . The Flyin' Hawaiian John DeSoto was (brother) Russell Andrade's chief competitor, and DeSoto rode a similar Montesa. PIerre said it was so beautiful - that when he found it in Arizona, had to buy it. It had been redone from the frame up. It competed more than once at the Farm (Ahrma National in Chehalis WA) Russell Andrade has since passed away, and Andrade felt it was time for the machine to move on.
