The GIboney-Stevens Special started with a 1969 CZ 250 engine, frame built in 1971 by Machine Products (George Giboney Roger Stevens & Richard Giboney) Machine Products built eight GS Specials between 1971 and 1973. There were three CZ250s, three Yamahas, (125, 250 360) a 250 Husky & a 400 Maico. Some had regular tanks. These lightweight framed GS Specials were designed with the fuel tank below the rider to lower the center of gravity. Frame tubing is thin-wall 4130 Chromoly. Note that the air filter goes straight through the fuel tank !
