10 Tenths (2023)

Real Story of this image: a Thoroughbred Stallion, born in Florida, shipped to Canada as a yearling, was handsome- but never meant to be a race horse. By age three, it was evident that he wasn't going to make anyone money- and was on the meat truck to Mexico.

Someone at the track quietly made a call, and at the last minute he was rescued by my friend Martina Faltova.

"typical Thoroughbred case; OK parents, raced too young, did not make enough money, sent to the glue factory..."

Thousands of perfectly healthy horses are used by an industry that appears to glorify these beautiful creatures, but then uses them up and out of sight, they are slaughtered each year.

But this one got away.
