OPPORTUNITY
Washington state had major flooding at
the end of 2025. They say that nature bats last whole valleys
were flooded. On the way home from Full Circle Racing, I decided to
see what the scenic route looked like now. I came around a couple of
corners to see the road disappearing under the water, where previously
that had been meadows and farms. When I went down and turned onto Swan's
Slough, the water had swallowed the road, and six weeks after Halloween,
a thousand decaying pumpkins had washed up. It was nothing I'd ever
seen- and I stood there thinking could never make this happen on purpose.
I could buy several truckloads of pumpkins if I had to, but I could
never flood the valley. It was beautiful and terrifying at the same
time...
